Former Well Known Editor Dies

          Ira C. Penery, 50, died Thursday evening, at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Cleon Luellen in Economy, after a lingering illness. He is a well-known newspaper man, having been editor of the Farmland Enterprise for many years. Surviving is the widow, four stepchildren, Chester Snyder of Kalamazoo, Mich., Raymond Snyder of Michigan City, James Snyder of Muncie, and Mrs. Cleon Luellen of Economy; his father, Hamilton Penery of Knoxville, Tenn., two brothers, Emery of Knoxville, and Irvin, of near Farmland; two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Mills of near Farmland, and Mrs. Cora Taylor, of Gladstone, Va.
          Funeral services were held at the Farmland Friends church Saturday afternoon in charge of the Rev. N. H. Thornburg and the Rev. C. A. James.  Burial was made in the Maxville cemetery.
