Dies At Niece’s Home
----------
          Scott Porter, 80, died Friday morning about 10 o’clock, at the home of his niece, Mrs. C.G. Harvey, four miles west of Lynn, following an illness of several years. He is survived by five nieces and four nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. C.G. Harvey.Burial was made in the Union cemetery, west of Carlos.

          PORTER, Rowena, wf/o John whom she m. Aug. 18, 1881. She was b. Feb. 7, 1861 the d/o Jesse and Mary Knight. She d. at Redkey, Jay Co. Ind,Thurs. Mar. 23, 1893. Surv. are the husband, mother and 4 small children, 2 children are dec'd. Serv. by Rev. Isaac Johnson at Buena Vista Church, burial in nearby cemetery.

          PORTER, Mathew Finneus, b. in Union Co. OH Oct. 28, 1833-d. Aug. 11, 1892 at Lake View, Logan Co. Ohio ae 59y 8m 11d. He came to Winch. in 1853 and m. Mary Jane Ludy in 1856. They had 7 children, 4 sons and 3 dts. 1 son and 1 dt. are dec'd. He was a mem. of the German Reform Church and later of the Quaker church. Serv. and bur. at Mt. Zion meeting house and cem. Surv. are the wf. and 5 ch., 3 grdts., and 2 bros. Rev. W.C.Brown in charge of services. Cause of death was bloodpoisening after being cut on the hand while cleaning a lamp chimney.

          PORTER, Hulda A., b. Near Hopewell the child of Wm. Flood who is still living. She was b. Oct. 21,1848-died May 6, 1886 ae 37y 6m 8d. She m. Robert P. Porter, Dec. 18, 1867, they had 4 children. She d. of T.B. of the bowels. Surv. are the husband, 3 children and a brother lying at the point of death of the same disease. Mem. of the M.E. Church, bur. at the Fountain Pk. Cem. Fun. by Rev. W.O. Pierce.
