----------
Amanda Boid Ross, the daughter of James [Jacob?] and Elizabeth [Denton] Ross was born August 21, 1828 [in Fleming Co., KY], being the sixth child in a family of 12 children, all of whom have died except two; Elijah P. and Wesley D. Ross. [No death date was given.]
Amanda was united in marriage to John Wesley Kenner in 1844. Her husband died February 5, 1863. As the fruit of this union there were eight children of whom five survive: Franklin of Yorktown; John of Anderson; Elizabeth E. B. Taylor, with whom she spent her last days [probably living in Farmland]; Charles W. of Peru and Ulysses G. of Marion.
She was united with the M. E. church at the age of twelve years and continued with the same until her death. She suffered for three years before her death.
