Hazel Ruble, 93

WINCHESTER - Hazel Ruble, 93 of Winchester, IN passed away on Friday, September 29, 2006 at Americare Living Center in Winchester. Hazel was born in Wayne County IN on April 10, 1913 to the late Bessie Belle (Wampler). Hazel retired from the Richmond Glove Factory, she and her husband William retired from farming in 1975. Hazel was past president of the Randolph Co. Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and yahtzee.
          In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her husband William Ruble who died in 1977; and two sons, Donald and Robert Ruble. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Ed) Huffman of Muncie, IN; and Linda (Jim) Byrum of Winchester, IN. There are fourteen surviving grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren along with several great great grandchildren.
          Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, IN with Max Huffman officiating. Burial will be at Hollandsburg Harrison Township Cemetery in Hollandsburg OH. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Sunday October 1, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice 410 W. Votaw St. Portland, IN 47371.

          RUBLE, Roena, d/o Hiram and Martha Mendenhall b. Clinton Co. OH. Aug. 18, 1822. Came to R.C. in 1834. She m. (no name) Aug. 20, 1840. Died at Unionport Feb. 28, 1887 ae 64y 6m 10d. Mem. of the U.B. Church at Buena Vista. She moved to Farmland and joined the M.E.Church.
