In  Memoriam.
----------
SCOTT:  ---  Willie E.,  son of  Eleazer and  Kiziah Scott,  was born June 22, 1872; died December 11, 1891; aged nineteen years, five months and nineteen days.  Willie was at Chicago at the [time] of his death, having been engaged as a horse Jockey from a child.  How sad the words were when they reached the family, that Willie was dead; little thinking when he left home, that it was leaving home and friends for the last time in life.  Though it has been months since Willie was called away by death, his memory still lives with us.
Peaceful be thy silent slumber,
Peaceful in they grave so low;
Thou no more will join our number,
Thous no more our sorrows know;

Yet again we hope to meet thee,
When the day of life is fled,
And in Heaven, with joy to greet thee,
Where no farewell tears are shed.

----------
SCOTT:  ---  Sarepta A.,  daughter of  Elezer and  Kiziah Scott,  was born March, 6, 1877; died May 3, 1893, aged sixteen years, one month and twenty-seven days.  Thus one by one, we apsseth away.  Mother, son and daughter all sleep side by side in their narrow beds of clay.
        Reppa has left this world of sorrow and care, and we hope our loss is her gain.  She called her father to her bedside and asked him to forgive her for all her disobediance.  She expressed a desire to be with her dear mother, whom death called away about seven years ago.  She leaves a father, one brother, two sisters and one little neice[sic].
        Reading and prayer by  Levi Howel.
We miss thee from thy place, dear sister,
A shadow o'er our life is cast;
We miss the sunshine of thy face,
We will miss thee all through life,
Our home is dark without thee,
We miss thee everywhere.
