Mrs. Guy Way Is Called by Death

          After an illness extending through a period of two years, Mrs. Ida C. Way, wife of Guy Way, local fire chief, passed away at 2 o'clock Thursday morning at her home on West Franklin street. Mrs. Way had been bedfast for sixteen weeks past, during which time she had suffered greatly. Her age was forty-seven years, seven months and nine days.
          Surviving Mrs. Way are her husband, one son, Herbert Rasbon, of Martin's Ferry, Ohio; one brother, John Jones, of Muncie; four half brothers, Al Jones, of this city, Will and Roll Jones, of Elwood, and Walter Jones, of Noblesville, and one half sister, Mrs. Alva Couchman, of Muncie.
          Mrs. Way was born in this county, and had lived here practically all of her life.
          Volunteer firemen of the city acted as pallbearers at the funeral which was held at the M.E. church at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. They were Kora Davis, Carl Summers, Charles Summers, Sim Ashton, Chas. Lennon and U. G. Daly. Rev. Frank P. Morris preached an impressive funeral sermon. Followng the services, the 2:48 car was taken for Maxville, where burial was made in the Maxville cemetery.

        WAY, Judith, b. N.C. 1807 came to Fountain City Wayne Co. 1817, m. Robert Way Mar. 6, 1826, they had 5 children. She d. July 19, 1892 of senile Dementia. Miss Lou Way and Mrs. Diltz of Washington City are all that is listed. Robert d. in 1876. She was the d/o George Wilson b.Va. and Ann (Moorman) Wilson b. N.C. A mem. of the M.E.Church, bur. in the Fountain Pk. Cem.

        WAY, Jesse, one of the oldest and best known citizens of this place, died suddenly at the post office 1/24/1884. Lived with son Will after death of wife last fall. He was over 71y of ae. Born Marlboro Dist 1/4/1804, s/o John & Patience (Green) Way. Died Winchester 1/24/1884, ae 76y. lst m Fannie Diggs in 1829. Mar 2nd Lucinda B. Turner who d 11/1883 10 ch 3 living, Dt Susannah m. Thomas W. Kizer, Sons Wm. R., Thos. J. and James who d. 8/19/1884. Bur. Fountain Pk Cem..

          Died in Winchester, IN Wednesday Aug 17, 1881, Morman WAY, aged 73y 6m 7d, internment in Fountain Park Cemetery. He was born in Mulberry District, SC, Feb 9, 1808; He lived there until 1818, when he came to Randolph Co., IN with his grandfather William WAY.  His grandfather settled 4 1/2 miles west of Winchester, IN.  In 1833 he married, in 1835 he went to Liberty, IN.; His only heir is Susan DIGGS, his sister, she is 16 months older than him. His father was killed by getting thrown from a horse in 1816 in SC.
