I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Gus BEHLMER of Batesville, Indiana. The photograph was taken at the A. Zengel Studio in Batesville. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Gus likely in his early teens at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Gus and his family:

August H. BEHLMER was born February 1869 in Indiana to parents Johann Heinrich BEHLMER (born September 11, 1845 in Hanover or Godesdforf, Germany) and Susan GUNTER (born 1846 in Indiana), August was one of 8 children born to this couple. Which were August H.; John Albert; Henry John; Edward R.; William Frederick; Annie Margaretha; John William; and Frank Frederick Gerhart BEHLMER. The children were all born in Indiana between 1868 and 1878.

August died 1938, and is buried in the Saint Marks Cemetery in Batesville, Indiana.
