||January 27, 1947 - Alva L. Cole, age 67, well know retired farmer of Orange Township
died suddenly of a heart attack Monday morning at 10 o'clock in his home at Gowdy in which
he and his wife had just moved Friday from Moscow.
Mr. Cole had spent many years in the Orange vicinity, with the exception of a few years when he
lived North of Rushville, moving back to near Moscow about 7 years ago.
He was a member of the Moscow Christian church. His survivors include the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth
Armacost Cole, two sons, Lloyd Cole of near Moscow, Austin Cole of Union City and a daughter
Mrs. Bertha Mount of Crawfordsville. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three
brothers, Arthur of Lewisville, Walter of Bentonville, Horace of near Milton.
Funeral services will be held in the Moscow Church with burial in the Moscow Cemetery.
