Emma Drake

Mrs. Emma Drake, 74, of Arlington died at 2:20 am today at Rush Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Saturday, after several years of failing health.

Mrs. Drake spent most of her life in the Arlington community, where she was born February 23,1891, the daughter of James and Savannah Addison Moore. Following the death of her first husband Jake Ray in March 1913, she was married August 2,1916 to Ode Drake, who survives.

She was a member of the Hannegan Christian Church.

Surviving with her husbands are two sons, Cecil Ray and Donald Drake, both of Rushville; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Wilson of Rushville and Mrs. Richard (Ina) Stephen of Gardena Calif; a brother, Charles Moore, northeast of Arlington, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two infant sons, a brother and five sisters preceded her in death.

The Rev. Richard Merriman will conduct services at 2 PM Friday at Mosters and Sons Mortuary, where friends may call after 3 PM. Thursday, with burial in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
