June E. Dunn, 71, of Connersville, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Reid Hospital in Richmond. Born Feb. 21, 1931, in Connersville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry and Glennis Estalene (Vest) Lockhart. Mrs. Dunn attended Everton and Connersville schools. She had lived in Tennessee, Arizona, California, and Missouri. She had worked as a nurse's aide and at area nursing homes. She attended the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Connersville, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Reginald Fisher Post #1, AMVETS, and the VFW in Connersville. Survivors include long-time companion, Elmer "Dusty" Lucas of Connersville; one son, Ron E. Rollins of Kokomo; two daughters, Donna (Mrs. Denver) Steele of Connersville, and Roxanna (Mrs. Tanny) Triplitt of Cambridge City; one brother, Peter O'Neal Lockhart of Washington; two sisters, Lilly Jane (Mrs. Isaac) Tipton of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Marsha (Mrs. Dwight) Jones of Connersville; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Showalter-Blackwell-Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel in Connersville. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery in Connersville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home./P>
