William Worth Hardin Jr., 66

William Worth Hardin Jr., 66, of Asheboro, N.C., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at his residence. Mr. Hardin was a native of Guilford County and served in the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed at Moster & Sons Mortuary in Rushville, Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Service in Greensboro, N.C., and retired from Smurfit-Stone Corp. in Greensboro, N.C. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Asheboro, president of Mid-State Beagle Club, and a member of Carolina Beagle Club. Survivors include wife Martha A. Hardin; two sons, Randall James Hardin (and wife Chris) of Greensboro, N.C., and Nathan Worth Hardin (and wife Barbara) of Summerfield, N.C.; two daughter, Deborah Sue Tilley and Cynthia Annette (Mrs. Doug) Biggs, both of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, Donald H. Hardin (and wife Nancy) of Arlington; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel in Asheboro, with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
