WELCOME

Spencer County was named for Captain Spier Spencer of Harrison County.
He was killed at the Battle of Tipecanoe during the War of 1812.

red rose Peggy Bowen, former county coordinator for Spencer County, passed away on February 9, 2009 after battling cancer. We members of INGenWeb are very saddened by her loss.
We will miss her enthusiasm, friendship and expertise.
