The following books and resources are owned by the person linked here. If you own any Spencer County books, and will do look-ups, please let me know. Please consider being a lookup volunteer. As you can see, volunteers are needed. If you or your group have a Spencer County reference resource for sale, I will be happy to link to your ad or provide the information here.

Feel free to request a look-up from the following books. Follow the rules as stated or you may not receive a reply. Please don't email and ask do you have anything on my great-great grandfather, John Brown. Ask a more specific question. Tell the lookup volunteer the time frame if possible or the township he lived in and the kind of information you are looking for. If you send very general queries, they will probably end up on the query page. This may not be where you want them.

  • Put the name of the BOOK you are requesting the lookup in your message.
  • Please understand that I WILL NOT do extensive research for you. I will not go to the LIBRARY, COURTHOUSE, or HEALTH DEPARTMENT for you. The intent of this project is not to provide you with photocopies or scanned images, but to answer simple questions pertaining to the contents of the particular book or reference material.
    I don't want to sound mean here, but try to remember that we all have other responsibilities, too. We like helping out, but we can only do so much...
