This Indenture made the 28th day of July in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and forty Eight between James Gentry and Eliza Gentry his wife of the county of Spencer and State of Indiana of the one part and Philip J. Saltsman of the county and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth That the said James Gentry for and in consideration of the sum of two Hundred and Seventy Six Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Philip J. Saltsman the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and doth by these presents Grant bargain Sell convey and confirm unto the Said Philip J. Saltsman his heirs and assigns forever "a certain parcel or tract of Land lying adjoining to and north and East of the Town of Gentryville county of Spencer and State of Indiana and described as follows viz. Beginning at the North East corner and running west eighty poles thence South Eighty three poles thence East sixty six and a half poles thence South Thirty six poles and three links thence East sixteen poles and six links thence North one hundred and Twenty four poles and Eight links to the place of beginning making Forty Six acres and Two rods more or less It being @ part of the East half of the North West Quarter of Section No one Township No Five South Of range No six West also The said Jas Gentry and Eliza His wife doth by these presents grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Phillip J. Saltsman his heirs and assigns forever Six Lots or parcels of Ground in the Town of Gentryville County and State aforesaid and known on the plat of said Town as Lots No one Two Thirteen Fourteen Fifteen and sixteen and described as above and making Three acres more or Less Together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging and the reversions remainders and profits there of and all the estate title and interest of the said Jas Gentry in and to the same To have and to hold the premises aforesaid with all the appurtenances to the Only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Philip J. Saltsman his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jas Gentry for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said Phillip J. Saltsman his heirs and assigns that he the said Jas Gentry is Lawfully Seized in fee of the premises aforesaid that they are free from all incumbrances and that he has good right to sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid and further that he and his heirs executors and administrators shall and will warrant and defend the said premises to the said Phillip J. Saltsman his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of himself and his heirs and also against the Lawful claim or claims of all and Every other person or persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said Jas Gentry and Eliza Gentry his wife have hereunto Set their handss and Seals the day and year above mentioned.

Be it remembered that the within named Jas Gentry and Eliza Gentry his wife known to me to be the persons who executed the foregoing deed came this day personally before me the undersigned @ Justice of the peace in and for the county of Spencer aforesaid and each severally acknowledged that they and Each of them did sign seal and deliver the within and foregong indenture as and for their and Each of their own act and deed. She the said Eliza Gentry the wife of the said Jas. Gentry being of full age and the full contents and purport of the said indenture having been by me first made known to her and being by me separate and apart from and without the hearing of her said Husband privately examined upon Such examination she did declare and acknowledge that she voluntarily and of her own free will and accord and without any coercion or compulsion from her husband Signed Sealed and delivered the said indenture as her act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. This Indenture witnesseth That William B Smith and Eleanor M Smith, the wife of the said William B Smith, both of the County of Spencer and State of Indiana for and in consideration of Four Hundred Dollar lawful money of the United States to them paid by Philip J. Saltsman of the County and State above mentioned the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby bargain, sell, and convey, to the said Philip J. Saltsman, his heirs and assigns forever the following Real Estate in Spencer County and State of Indiana, and described as follows, to wit Inlot No. twenty five (25) in the Town of Gentryville, County and State above mention; said Inlot measuring two rods North and South, and Eight Rods East and west as follows--Beginning at the North West corner, and numbering ten rods South thence eight rods East, thence ten rods North, and thence Eight rods West, to the place of beginning; making one half acre, be the same more or less. Also a certain tract or parcel of land or ground adjoining to the Town of Gentryville and due East of Inlots No. twenty Eight and twenty nine (28 & 29) and described as follows, to wit Beginning at the Northwest corner (which is at the Boonville and New Albany Road, and fifty feet east, the width of a street, of Inlot No. twentyeight) and runing south twenty rods and thirteen links - thence East, Sixteen rods, - thence North twenty rods and thirteen links, and thence west - sixteen rods, to the place of beginning, making two acres and eight rods be the same more or less; both of the above described pieces of ground are a part of and lying in the East half of the North west quarter of Section No One, in Township No Five South of Range No Six West; together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging. To have and to hold the same to the said Philip J. Saltsman, his heirs and assigns forever. The grantors and their heirs and assigns hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and assigns, that the title so conveyed is clear, free and unincumbered; that they are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid as of a sure perfect, and indefesible estate of inheritance in fee Simple; and that they will warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever.

In witness whereof, the said William B. Smith and Eleanor M. Smith his wife who hereby relinquishes her dower in said premises, have hereunto set their hands and seals, this tenth day of October AD 1851.

This indenture made this the 23rd day of March 1853 between Philip J Saltsman and Elizabeth his wife of the one part, and Andrew Beard of the other part all of the County of Spencer and state of Indiana. Witnesseth. That the said P. J. Saltsman for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty Dolalrs to him in hand paid by the said Andrew Beard, the receipt whereof he doth freely acknowledge hath bargained sold confirmed and doth by these presents bargain sell and doth confirm unto the said Andrew Beard his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcel or lot of land situate in the County of Spencer and State of Indiana aforesaid and described as follows, (viz) beginning opposite the South East corner of Lot No. fifteen, the Street only intervening, so as to make the commencing corner, on the corner of the Street, immediately opposite the South East corner of said Lot No. fifteen, thence running west with the State Road leading to _____ from Gentryville, __________________________________________________________________, it being in Section One, Township Five, Range Six. together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging and the aversions and remainders thereof, and all the estate title and interest of the said P. J. Saltsman, in and to the same and the said Saltsman doth covenant and agree to and with the said Baird that he will warrant and defend the same against all the claims of all and ever person whomsover, that the said premises are free from all encumbrance, and that he has _____ right to sell and _____ the same in madder and form aforesaid, and Elizabeth Saltsman hereby relinquishes all her right and title of Dower, or in and to the premises hereinnamed. In witness whereof the said P. J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife have hereunto affixed their names and seals this 23rd day of March, 1853.

State of Indiana, Spender County, Personally appeared before me L. D. Pagett, a Justice of the peace of said County, Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife, the grantors in the above conveuyance and acknowledge the same to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Elizabeth Saltsman, the wife of the said Philip J. Saltsman being examined by me, separate and apart from and without the hearing of her said husband, and the contents and purposes of said deed being by me first made known and explained to her, she did declare that she executed the same of her own free will and accord, and without any coercion or compulsion from her said husband. Witness my hand and seal this the 23d day of March, A. D. 1853.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman convey and warrant to George Grisham Lot No. twenty five (25) in the town of Gentryville County of Spencer and State of Indiana for the sum of four hundred dollars.

Before me L. D. Pagett Justice in and for said County this day came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed this 14th day of October 1854.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman convey and warrant to Jacob H. Strous a tract of land or ground adjoining to the town of Gentryville and due East of Pulots No twenty eight and twenty nine (28 and 29) and described as follows to wit Beginning at the North West corner which is at the Boonville and New Albany Road and fifty feet East and running South twenty Rods and thirteen links thence East Sixteen rods thence North thirty rods and thirteen links and thence West Sixteen rods to the place of beginning, making two acres and eight rods be the more or less both of the above described pieces of ground are a part of and lying on the East Half of the North West quarter of Section No. One in Township No. Five South of Range No six West together all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging in the Town of Gentryville County of Spencer and State of Indiana for the sum of Fifty dollars In testimony whereof we have here and to set our hand and seal this the 14th October 1854.

State of Indiana, Spencer County: Before me L D. Pagett Justice in and for said County this day came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed this 14th day of October 1854.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife convey and warrant to Abraham Hyley the parcel or lot of land described as follows beginning South one hundred and twenty Eight Rods and Eight links from the half mile stone on the North line of Section One in _____ five South of range five west and running West seventeen Rods thence South twenty rods and thirteen links thence East Eighteen Rods twenty three links thence North twenty rods and Eighteen links to the beginning situated in the county of Spencer State of Indiana for the sum of two hundred dollars. In witness whereof we have hereto set our hands and seals this 12 day of January 1855.

Before me Lorenzo D. Pagett Justice of said County personally came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand seal this 12 day January A. D. 1855.

Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer County in the State of Indiana convey and warrant to John Hiley of Spencer County in the State of Indiana for the sum of fifty dollars in hand paid the following Real Estate in Town of Gentryville, Spencer County Indiana to wit. Lots thirteen and fourteen in said town also seven hundred and nineteen thousandth 719/1000 of an acre commencing three poles East of the NE corner of Lot No. 14 in said town thence South 10 poles thence East 12 poles to the half mile line thence north with the said line--allowing a variation of five degrees and fifty minutes thence 10 8/10 poles thence West to the beginning 11 poles containing 719/1000 of an acre. In witness whereof the said Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife have here unto set their hands and seals this the 25th day of June 1855.

Before me L. D. Pagett a Justice of the Peace in and for said County came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed this 25th day of June 1855. Lorenzo D. Pagett Justice

Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer County in the State of Indiana convey and warrant to Anderson Pitman of Spencer County in the State of Indiana for the sum of One hundred and twenty four dollars the following Real Estate in Spencer County in the State of Indiana to wit. The South Half of the North West quarter of Section No. thirty two (32) in Township No four (4) South of Range No five (5) _____ containing Eighty acres be the same more or less. In witness whereof the said Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this twenty fifty day of June 1855.

Before me L. D. Pagett a Justice of the Peace in and for said County this 25th day of June 1855 came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed. Witness my hand and seal.

Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer County in the State of Indiana convey and warrant to Jacob Strous of Spencer County in the State of Indiana for the sum of fifty dollars the following Real Estate in Spencer County in the State of Indiana to wit. Adjoining the town of Gentrybille and due East of Pulots No. 28 and 29 in said town. Beginning fifty (50) feet from the North East corner of Lot No. 28, running thence South twenty (20) Rods and thirteen (13) links thence East Sixteen (16) Rods thence North twenty (20) Rods and thirteen links and thence west Sixteen Rods to the place of beginning containing two acres and Eight Rods be the same more or less.

      In witness whereof the said Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this fourteenth (14th) day of January 1855.

Before me L. D. Pagett a Justice of the Peace in and for said County this 25th day of June 1855 came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth his wife acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman of Spencer County and State of Indiana convey and warrant to George Thing of the same place the following tract or parcel of land described as follows Lot No. one in the town of Gentryville commencing at the North East corner thence running South ten rod thence west Eight rods thence North ten Rods, thence East Eight Rods to the place of beginning containing a half of an acre for the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars in witness whereof the said Philip J. Saltsman his wife have hereunto set their hand and seal this 30th day day of July 1855.

Before L. D. Pagett a Justice of the Peace in and for said County this 30th day of July 1855 came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed.

Jacob Strous and Elizabeth Strous his wife of Spencer County in the State of Indiana convey and warrant to Philip J. Saltsman of Spencer County in the State of Indiana for the sum of fifty dollars in hand paid the following Real Estate in Spencer County in the State of Indiana to wit: A tract of land adjoining the town of Gentryville and due East of Lots No. 28 and 29 and described as follows-- Beginning at the NW corner which is at the Boonville and New Albany Road and fifty feet East and turning South twenty rods and 13 links then East 16 Rods unto N 30 Rods and 13 links thence West 16 Rods to the beginning containing two acres and 8 rods more or less being the same land conveyed by Saltsman once by deed dated 14 October 1854 by mistaken description. In witness whereof the said Jacob Strous and Elizabeth Strous his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this thirteenth day of January 1855.

State of Indiana Spencer County: Before me L. D. Pagett a Justice of the Peace in and for said County this 25th day of June 1855 came Jacob Strous and Elizabeth Strous his wife and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed. Witness my hand and seal. Lorenzo D. Pagett Justice

Know all men by these presents that James Gentry and Eliza Gentry his wife of Spencer County Indiana convey and warrant to Philip J. Saltsman Lot No. three and that portion of No. four that lies East of the Street or Road leading from Rockport to Jasper in the Town of Gentryville in the above county and state for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged this February 29th 1856.

Before me the undersigned County Surveyor of said County personally came James Gentry and Eliza Gentry his wife the grantors in the above conveyance and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed this February 29th 1856.

We Philip Joshua Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife convey and warrant to Isaac T. Barker the parcel or lot of land described as follows Lots No fifteen and Sixteen being in the Town of Gentryville in Section One Township Five south of Range Six West in the county of Spencer and State of Indiana for the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid In witness whereof said Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife has hereto set our hand and seal this 24th day of December 1856.

Before me James M Griffith a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, Philip Joshua Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife on the 20th day of December 1856 acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed. In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this 20th day of December 1856.

Know all men by these presents that Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer County, Indiana convey and warrant to James Gentry of the same place the following strips of land viz. Three poles on the East side of Lots No. 1, 14, and 15 in Gentryville in said County and all that part of the alley which is one pole wide on the North side of Gentryville that the said Saltsman owns for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged this February 29th 1856.

Before me the undersigned County Surveyor of said County personally came Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife the Grantors in the above conveyance and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed this February 29th 1856.

Spencer Co. State of Ind. We John W. Lamman and Laura Lamman his wife of Spencer Co. State of Indiana Convey and Warrant unto Philip J Saltsman of Same County and State the following Real Estate situate lying and being in the town of Gentryville Spencer Co. State of Indiana Known on the plat of said Town as Lot No. Twenty One (21) Said lot on part of Town being or lying on the East half of the North West quarter of Section No. One (1) in Township Five No. (5) South of Range Six (6) West For and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars in witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 20th Nov. 1857.

Personally appeared before me W. C. Adams Notary public for County and State aforesaid John W. Lamman and Laura Lamman his wife grantors in the above conveyance and acknowledged the same to all intents and purposes therein mentioned. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and official seal this 20th Nov. 1857.

We James Gentry and Eliza Gentry his wife of the County of Spencer and State of Indiana convey and warrant unto Philip J. Saltsman of the same place Lot No. (8) Eight in the Town of Gentryville Spencer County Indiana for the Sum of Thirty seven dollars and fifty cents in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. Witness our hands and seals April 29th 1858.

Personally appeared before me the undersigned a Notary public in Spencer County Ind. James Gentry and Eliza Gentry his wife the Grantors to the above and acknowledged the Execution of the annexed deed. Witness my hand and official seal this 29th day of April 1858.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer County Indiana convey and warrant to William Reynolds of Spencer County State of Indiana for the sum of thirty five dollars in hand paid the following described Real Estate in said county of Spencer to wit Lot No. three and that portion of No. four that lies East of the Street or Road leading from Rockport to Jasper being in the Town of Gentryville County and State aforesaid witness our hands and seals this 25th day of May AD 1858.

Before me the undersigned Notary Public in and for said county this 25 day of May AD 1858 appeared Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife grantors and acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed Witness my hand and official seal this 25th day of May 1858.

We Philip J. Saltsmann and Elizabeth Saltsmann his wife of Spencer County and State of Indiana convey and warrant unto Henry Whitney of the same place the following described to wit Lot No. two in Gentryville in the County and State above written containing one half acre be it more or less in and for the consideration of the sum of thirty dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged whereunto we have set our hands and affixed our seals dated this 31st day of December 1858.

Before me James M. Griffith a Justice in and for the aforesaid County Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsmann his wife on the 31st day of December 1858 acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed Given under my hand and seal and dated this 31st December 1858.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman, his wife, of the County of Spencer, and State of Indiana, Convey and Warrant unto Christopher C. Brashears, of the same place, the following described Real Estate, bounded and described as follows, towit: North of Lot No one (1) Lot (2) and three (3) East also of Lot No (1) one, Commencing at the State Road, one Rod North of the Corner of Lot No (3) three and runing thirty eight Rods and one half (38 1/2) East, thence North twenty three Rods (23) Rods, (6) feet, thence West thirty three and one half Rods, thence South twenty two Rods and fifteen feet (32) Rods (15) feet to the begining. Also all that portion of said East of Lot No. one, Commencing fifty feet from the Corner Stone of the begining place of the Town of Gentryville Ind. runing East nine and one half Rods (9 1/2) Rods thence South fourteen Rods and two feet, thence West eleven Rods and two feet, thence North fourteen Rods and two feet to the place of beginning. This being a part of the East half of the North West quarter of Section one (1) in Township five South, of Range six, West. Containing six acres, more or less. For the Consideration of two hundred Dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged.

Before me James M. Griffith a Justice of the Peace, in and for the County aforesaid, on the 29th day of January 1859. Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman, his wife, acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed. Given under my hand and seal, dated this 29th January 1859.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer Co. State of Indiana convey and warrant unto Edmund G. Smith of the same Co. and State the following Real Estate situate and lying and being in the Town of Gentryville Spencer County State of Indiana Known on the plat of said Town as Lot No. twenty one (21) said Lot on part of Town being or lying on the East Half of the North West quarter of Section No. 1 in Township five (5) south of Range Six (6) west for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty five dollars In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and seal this 22nd June 1859.

Before me James M. Griffith a Justice of the Peace in and for the county aforesaid on the 22nd day of June 1859 Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed Given under my hand and seal and dated this June 22nd 1859.

We Joseph N. Clark and Laetecia Clark his wife of Spencer County in the State of Indiana Convey and Warrant to Phillip J. Saltsman of Same County and State aforementioned for the Sum of Four Hundred and fifty dollars the following described Real Estate in Spencer County Indiana towit Lot No One (1) in plat of lots Surveyed for John A. Stuart March 17th and 18th 1859 by John A Know and bounded as follows Commences 4 feet South of the Old Town line of Gentryville on the State Road thence West 9 34/100 rods thence South 4 92/100 rods thence East 7 96/100 rods thence North with the State Road 6 39/100 rods to the beginning which plat was recorded in record No 20 pages 29 and 30 of the Records in the Recorders Office of Said County In Witness--Whereof we have hereto set our hands and Seals this the 1st day of May A.D. 1860.

Before me the undersigned a notary public in and for Said county and State on this the 1st day of May A.D. 1860 Joseph N. Clark and Loetecia Clark his wife acknowledged the Execution of the annexed Deed.

We Phillip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of the county of Spencer and State of Indiana convey and warrant unto Adam C. Williams of the same County and State aforesaid the following described Lot towit Lot No. Eight (8) with the exception of Forty feet off of the south end of said lot runing East and West across the Lot lying and being in the Town of Gentryville Spencer County Indiana for and in consideration of the Sum of Thirty five dollars in hand paid the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledged witness our hands and seals Dated this 14th day of March AD 1861.

Before me J. M. Griffith a Justice of the Peace in and for said County on the 14th day of March 1861 Phillip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife acknowledged the Execution of the annexed Deed Given under my hand and seal this the 14th day of March 1861.

We James Collins and Mary Collins, his wife, of Spencer County, Indiana, Convey and Warrant unto Philip J. Saltsman of the same County and State, One sixth of the Gentryville Mills, together with land and other appurtenance thereto belonging, to said Mill Lot, described as following, situated in Section one, Town five, South of Range six, West, in Spencer County, Indiana, Commencing on the line of the Rockport and Jasper State Road, South 16 1/2 degrees West 11 15/100 Roads from the West end of South Street, in Gentrys addition to Town of Gentryville, thence East parallel with said South Street 15 8/100 Rods, thence South 5 30/41 West 18 94/100 Rods, thence West parallel with the North line 18 79/100 Rods, thence North 19 Rods to the place of beginning. Containing two acres, more or less. In Consideration of the sum fifteen hundred Dollars, in hand paid, In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals, this 23rd day of November AD. 1864:

Before me the underassigned Justice of the Peace in and for said County, and State personly came James Collins and Mary Collins, his wife, and acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed, this 23rd AD 1864.

We Redman D. Grigsby and Matilda Grigsby, his wife, of Spencer County, Indiana, In Consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars, in hand paid, by Philip J. Saltsman, do hereby remise, and forever quit quitClaim unto the said _________ all of our title intrust and Estate legal and Equitable in the following premises, with the appurtenances, situated in the Town of Gentryville, Spencer County, Indiana, and described as follows, to wit: Lot No forty one (41) in James Gentrys addition to the Town of Gentryville, in said County of Spencer, and State of Indiana, In Witness whereof we have hereunto our hand and seal, this 21st day of March A.D. 1864.

Before me John Bryant a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, personly came Redman D. Grigsby and Matilda Grigsby, his wife, and acknowledged the execution of the annext Deed.

Before me John Bryant a Justice of the peace in and for Said county and State personally came William Thompson and Elizabeth E. Thompson his wife and acknowledged the Execution of the annexed Deed this 21 day of March 1864.

We P. J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman, his wife, of the County of Spencer, and State of Indiana, Warrant and Convey unto Lemuel McClure of the same County and State, described as follows, to wit. Part of Lot Number twenty three, in Gentrys addition to Gentryville, Commencing at the South West corner of said Lot, running North with the Rockport and Jasper road thirty feet, thence East fifty eight feet, thence South thirty feet, thence fifty eight right Back to the beginning, for the sum of one hundred Dollars, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands seals dated this the 28th day of March 1865.

Before me E. G. Smith, Justice of the Peace, in and for said County, aforesaid on the ___ day of _____ 1865. P. J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman, his wife acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed, dated this the 28th day of March 1865.

We Phillip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife, of Spencer County, and State of Indiana, Convey and Warrant unto E. G. Smith of the same County and State the following Real Estate, situated in Spencer County, and State of Indiana, described as follows, towit: Forty feet wide of the South end of Lot Number eight (8) in the Town of Gentryville, including Tobacco warehous on said Lot, for the sum of one hundred and seventeen Dollars in hand paid.

Before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, aforesaid, on the 26th day of December 1866 personally came Phillip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife, and acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer County, Indiana, Convey and Warrant to John Walter of the same place, the following Real Estate, in the County and State aforesaid, towit: Part of the East half of the North West quarter of Section No one (1) Town six (6) South, Range five West, Beginning fifteen feet North of the North West Corner of Lot No seven in the Town of Gentryville, thence East along the Northern line of said Town 36 36/100 Rods to the Rockport and Jasper Road, thence North 12 degrees East along said Road 24 8/100 Rods, thence West 43 47/100 Rods, thence South 24 8/100 Rods to the beginning, Containing six acres, for the sum of two hundred and forty Dollars, in hand paid.

Before me the Surveyor in and for the County and State aforesaid, this day came the Grantors above named and acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed.

Seaba of Dubois County Indiana the following premises with the appurtenances thereto Situated in the town of Gentryville, Spencer County Indiana and described as follows to wit Lot No. forty one (41) in James Gentrys addition to the town of Gentryville in Spencer County Indiana with the exception of part of the said lot No. fortyone (41) and described as follows commencing at the Southwest Corner of Said lot running North with the Rockport and Jasper Road thirty feet thence East fifty Eight feet thence South thirty feet thence fifty Eight feet back to the beginning now owned by Frederick and Geo Frakes in consideration of three hundred dollars in hand paid witness our Names and Seals this the 1st day of January 186(?)

Before me the undersigned a Notary Public in and for the County aforesaid on this the 1st day of January 1869 Phillip J. Saltsman Elizabeth Saltsman his wife acknowledged the execution of the annexed Deed witness my hand and seal this the 1st day of January 1868.

We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman, his wife, of Spencer County, Indiana, Convey and Warrant to John Walters of same County and State, two and one half acres of land lying North of and adjoining the following described Real Estate, towit: Beginning fifteen feet North of the North West Corner of Lot No seven, in the Town of Gentryville, thence East with the North line of said Town 36 36/100 Rods to the Rockport and Jasper road, thence North 12 degrees East with said road 24 8/100 Rods, thence West 43 47/100 Rods thence South 24 8/100 Rods to beginning, Containing six acres, and situated in Section No one, Town five South, of Range six West, In Consideration of one hundred Dollars in hand paid. We Philip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of the County of Spencer and the State of Indiana Warrant and Convey unto E. G. Smith of the same County and State the following Real Estate Situated in Spencer County and State of Indiana described as follows to wit the undevided two thirds of the following described Real Estate Beginning at the South half mile corner of Section one in township five South of Range Six west thence North Sixty Seven (67) 72/100 Rods to the East End of South Street in Gentry's addition to the town of Gentryville thence west with the South line of Said Street fifty two 87/100 Rods to Allen W.       The Gentryville Mills situated on the following premises. In Section No one Town five (5) south of Range six (6) west in the County of Spencer and State of Indiana and described as follows; Commencing on the line of the State Road leading from Rockport to Jasper south 16 1/2 west 11 15/100 Rods from the west end of South Street in Gentrys addition to the Town of Gentryville thence East paralel with said South street 15 and 8/100 Rods thence south 5 3/4 west 18 Rods and 94/100 thence west parallel with the North line 18 Rods and 72/100 Rods thence North 19 Rods to the beginning containing two acres of land more or less. In consideration of the sum of twenty two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid.

Before me the undersigned a Notary Public in and for the County aforesaid on this the 6th day of February 1869 Phillip J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife acknowledged the Execution of the annexed Deed.

This indenture witnesseth that P. J. Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltman his wife of Spencer County in the State of Indiana convey and warrant to John Walters of Spencer County in the State of Indiana for the Sum of one hundred Dollars the following Real Estate in Spencer County in the State of Indiana to wit a part of the North East Quarter of the North West quarter of Section No. one (1) in Township No. five (5) South of Range No Six (6) west and described as follows to wit Beginning on the Rockport and Jasper Road at the North West corner of a tract of land heretofore deeded to Reuben McCoy and running thence East twenty nine (29) rods thence North thirty and one half (30 1/2) Rods thence west twenty two (22) rods and four (4) feet thence south twenty six (26) rods and four (4) feet to the place of beginning. We Richard Wetherill and Luiza Wetherill his wife of Warrick County Indiana Convey and Warrant unto Elizabeth Saltsman wife of Phillip J Saltsman of the County of Spencer and State of Indiana and unto her heirs and assigns forever the following described real estate in Spencer County Indiana, to wit:

      Pt of the North East quarter of the North West quarter of sec No. 1 township No 5 S Range No 6 W 26 acres more or less with the appurtenances thereof,

      And also the following described real estate in Warrick County Indiana, to wit:

      The SouthWest quarter of section No 36 Township No 4 South of Range No 6 W 158 acres, and the South half of the North West quarter of section No 36 township No 4 South of West quarter of section No 36 township No 4 South of Range No 6 West 80 acres together with the appurtenances

This Indenture Witnesseth that Whereas on the 22d of February of 1866 the undersigned Philip Saltsman and Elizabeth Saltsman his wife of Spencer County Indiana made a deed of Conveyance to John Walters which deed is recorded in book No. 27 on page 396 of the Records of the Recorders Office of Spencer County Indiana for a certain tract of land in Said County, intending to Convey to him a part of the East half of the North west quarter of Section No one, Town five South of range Six west, but by mistake, the deed was made for "part of the East half of the North East quarter of Section no. one, Township No (6) South Range No. five west," and now in order to correct the error aforesaid and in consideration of the premises and the purchase money heretofore received to wit: four hundred and ten dollars. Do hereby Convey and quit claim to John Walters all our right and titles and interest in and to the following described Real Estate to wit: Part of the East half of the North west quarter of Section No one (1) in Township No five (5) South Range No Six (6) west and bounded as follows viz - "Beginning fifteen feet North of the North west Corner of lot No Seven (7) in the town of Gentryville and running thence East along the North line of Said town thirty Six 36/100 Rods to the Rockport and Jasper road. thence South 12 degrees East along said road twenty four rods and 8/100 rods thence west forty three and 47/100 rods thence South twenty four and 8/100 rods to the place of beginning. Containing Six Acres.

Martin of the Same county and state the following real estate, situated in the above county and state to wit a Part of the North East quarter of the North West quarter of section one (1) in Township five South of Range six West to wit commencing at the North east corner of a lot heretofore Deeded to John Walter and Running North ten and one half (10 1/2) Rods thence west twenty two and one half Rods (22 1/2) to the Rockport and Jasper Road thence south along said Road fourteen and one half (14 1/1) Rods thence East to the Beginning for and in consideration of Twenty five Dollars in hand paid the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledged witness our hands and seals this November 20th 1877.
