Son of Edwin and Hannah Beigh; born December 26, 1889, near Helmer, Steuben County, Ind. Employee of Overland Automobile Company, Toledo, Ohio. Entered service September 15, 1917. Sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to Motor Transport Corps, 83rd Division. Overseas in January, 1918. Returned to U.S. July 5, 1919, sick with diphtheria. Died July 21, 1919, Embarkation Hospital No. 4, New York City. Buried in Block Cemetery, Salem Township, Steuben County, Ind.
