Son of Silas and Temperance Teegarden; born June 28, 1895, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Moved with parents to Steuben County, Ind. in 1901. Called into service July 23, 1918, Angola, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to 12th Company, 3rd Training Battalion, 159th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Battery B, 4th Training Battalion. Died of influenza October 16, 1918, Base Hospital, Camp Taylor, Ky. Buried in Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben County, Ind.
