Somebody did a lot of work to make that happen.  Thank  you.

Hello, I grew up in the cottage that my Great-Grandparents built on Crooked lake.  I would like to know if you would mind adding our surname to your list, even though the majority of my family comes from the Muncie area (I believe the early 20's were a time when the lakes became weekend getaway destinations).  My Father, George Mansfield, moved to the cottage in the 60's, converting it to a year-round home.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

I am researching my paternal grandmother and great-grandparents.  Her name  was Pearl May Cassel and she was born in 1887 in Garrett, DeKalb county.  Her  father was Jacob Cassel, son of Curtis Cassel and Emily Thrush.  His mother may  have been Ida M. Drushal, although she is listed on Pearl's death certificate  as "Martha Drueschel".  Her brother was Lee Stanley Cassel, a physician killed  in France in WWI in Nov. 1918 and buried in Fremont.  The VFW hall was  supposedly named in his memory.  Any info or leads on this family would be greatly  appreciated.

Loretta(Tritch) House
lhouse@grnco.net
I am researching the Tritch family from Steuben county as my great grandfather Fred Tritch married Anna Baechler 14 Oct 1886;they moved to Lafe, Arkansas the same year. Most of the family here (a very huge family) does not have a clue on the origin of their family. In my search I have traced it to this county. Any help would be deeply appreciated, as the information on my family is desired by many. I would also be willing to share what I have.

Thank you,
Loretta (Tritch) House

What wonderful memories I have of Clear Lake from the 1950's!  My grandparents, Roy & Ruth Kreipke, had a "cottage" on the south side of the lake.  I slept upstairs, and had a wonderful view of nothing but wilderness and farms on the other side.  My mother, Winifred (Wini) Alice Kreipke, spent many summers there in the late 30's through the mid-1950's.  The water was indeed nearly crystal clear.  I have not seen the Lake since June of 1957.  I remember my grandfather having to "winterize" the home and take down the long dock--generally it was a Thanksgiving time chore!  If anybody remembers the Kreipkes, e-mail me!

Great site !!  We are researching several surnames in Kentucky,Ohio, and Indiana, and since we
live in North Carolina we depend a lot on sites like yours.  Yoursite is well organized, makes so
much information available, and gives information like where and howmuch$ to send for
documents.  I really like the Civil War names from the monument.

We have joined the local Genealogical Society so we can begin to "payback" the help we've
received from volunteers like you and sites like yours.
