Military Service: Morris Connett served in the Union Army in Company A, 34th Regiment, Indiana
Volunteers.  He enrolled at Camp Anderson, Indiana on 12 September 1861 as a private and was
honorably discharged at New Iberia, Louisiana on 14 December 1863.  He reinlisted as a veteran the
same day and was discharged as a Sergeant on 21 June 1865 at Indianapolis, IN due to a disability
