MARTHA ANN (BELL) ALLOMONG, 02 Mar 1841 - 14 Jan 1905

                     Martha Ann Bell,

   Daughter of Hezakiah and Eliza Bell, was born March 2, 
1841, near Frederick City, Frederick county, Maryland.  She 
peacefully fell asleep in Jesus, at her home near Edon, Ohio, 
Jan. 14, 1905, aged 63 years, 10 months and 12 days.
   She was one of fourteen children, eight of whom survive 
her.  When eleven years old her parents moved from Maryland 
to Guersey county, Ohio, and in 1869 she came to Indiana and 
on Aug. 15, 1870, she was married to Joseph Allomong, who 
preceded her to the better world fifteen years ago.  To this 
union was born one child, Joseph Cyrus, who survives her; 
also two step-daughters, Rebecca Lint, and Sarah Anspaugh, 
four grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.  She united 
with the Baptist church at the age of sixteen.  After coming 
to Indiana the Baptist church not being represented she 
united with the United Brethern and lived a consistent 
Christian until her death.  She was a loving and faithful 
mother. For years she had been a constant sufferer although 
willing to aid in sickness when able.  Funeral services were 
held at the Bethel U. B. church.

   Martha Ann (Bell) Allomong, 22 Mar 1841 - 14 Jan 1905, 
married Joseph Allomong (Allaway on marriage license), 11 Apr 
1824 - 09 Oct 1889, his 2nd wife.  Martha was the daughter of 
Hezakiah and Eliza Ann (Baldwin) Bell.  Joseph was he son of 
John and Julia Allomong.  Martha and Joseph are buried at 
Bethel Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
   Their son, Joseph Cyrus Allomong was born about 1874, no 
further information.

MARTHA'S STEP-CHILDREN from Joseph's 1st marriage to 
Catherine (Klingman) Allomong, 1817 - 14 Apr 1867 who is 
buried Bethel Cemetery:

   William Allomong, 25 Jan 1844 - 17 May 1863, buried at 
Bethel Cemetery.
   Rebecca Jane (Allomong) Lint, 06 Mar 1847 - 31 Aug 1919, 
on 01 Aug 1869 in Steuben County, Indiana, married John 
Samuel Lint, 15 Sep 1845 - 1928, son of Samuel and Elizabeth 
Lint.  Rebecca and John are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana.
   Sarah E. (Allomong) [Allerman on marriage license] 
Anspaugh, 23 Jul 1852 - 24 May 1924, on 23 Oct 1887, married 
Jacob Andrew Jackson Anspaugh, 24 Apr 1850 - 1937 son of John 
Anspaugh, 18 Jun 1820 - 05 Jun 1905, and Sarah Ann (Cain) 
Anspaugh, 11 Oct 1830 - 24 Jun 1932, AGED 101 years, 8 months 
and 13 days.  They are all buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
   John Wesley Allomong (Almon on marriage license), 14 Sep 
1854 - 26 Nov 1904, on 23 Oct 1887, married Mary M. (Shafer) 
Allomong, 1866 - 1956.  They are buried at Bethel Cemetery.
