AMERETT (BLASS) BACHELOR, 1853 - 13 Apr 1886

   Amerett(a) (Blass) Bachelor, 1853 - 13 Apr 1886, on 
30 Nov 1873, married Charles A. Bachelor Jr., in 
Steuben County, IN.  He was the son of Charles 
Bachelor, 1821 - 1904, and Eliza (Miller) Bachelor, 
1818 - 20 Dec 1883.  Amerett(a) is buried at Lake Gage 
Cemetery, Steuben County, IN.  Charles Jr.'s parents 
are also buried at Lake Gage Cemetery.  Charles 2nd wife 
was Elizabeth Segma (Weicht) Bachelor, 24 Jun 1862, no 
date of death.  Elizabeth Segma was the daughter of 
Leopold Edward Weicht, 06 Aug 1830    - 07 Feb 1896, 
and Catharine (Schaab) Weicht, 03 Aug 1832 - 25 Dec 
1896.  Leopold and Catharine are buried at Circle Hill 
Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, IN.  No information 
of burial place of Charles and Elizabeth Segma (Weicht) 
Bachelor.

OTHER INFORMATION:

PLEASE NOTE:  The information in "Cemeteries of Steuben 
County, IN, 1990" by Audree Seibel Lewis seems to be 
confusing and incorrect.  Page 258 states that "BUTLER, 
Salena Mary (Weicht), 1850 - 1910, (Ms. Joseph 
Butler).Dau. Of Dr. Leopold Weicht and Catherine 
(Schaab) Weicht.  Salena was first married to Charles 
A. Bachelor.  This information has to be incorrect.  
Salena (Weicht) Butler's Death Record, Steuben County 
Courthouse, Book CO. 1907-1927, page 23, shows she died 
01 Sep 1910, daughter of (Dr.) William Weicht and 
Elizabeth (Newborn) (should be NEWBAUR).  Salena was 
born 19 Oct 1850 , nearly 2 years before Leopold and 
Catherine were married. Leopold Weicht's obituary 
(Steuben Republican 12 Feb 1896, p..5, c.5), lists 
Elizabeth S. Bachelor as a daughter.
   The "Marriage Records of Steuben County, Indiana, 
1837-1899" show that Joseph Butler married Salena M. 
Weicht on 31 Mar 1881.  Charles A. Bachelor married 
Segma Weicht on 29 Jan 1887.
