STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 1903, page 1, column 7 HENRY E. BEIL, 18 Oct 1830 -24 Sep 1903 Henry E. Beil was born in Trumbull county, Ohio, Oct. 18, 1830, and died at the home of his daughter, at Mapleton, North Dakota, Sept. 24, 1903, aged 72 years, 11 months and 6 days. Mr. Beil came to Steuben county in 1855, and Oct. 18th of that year, he was married to Cynthia Sowle, who died Aug. 29, 1880. To this union six children were born, five of whom, four daughters and one son survive. Mr. Beil is also survived by three brothers, twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Spangle, at Sowle Settlement, Sunday afternoon, Sept. 27, Elder C. S. Medbury officiating. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Henry E. CHILDREN: Samantha Beil, 04 Jan 1857 - 22 Sep 1857, aged 8 months and 18 days and is buried at the Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Helen (Beil) Spangle, 30 Jul 1858 - 27 Jul 1931, married Edwin D. Spangle, 14 Apr 1848 - 11 Feb 1939. They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.
