She was married to Mitchell Birce in 1842, and in 1847 they moved to Gilead, Mich., where she lived till the death of her husband, which occurred in 1864. Since that time her home has been in Orland at the residence or her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Kimball. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Rowley, May 27, 1891, aged 87 years. She has five children living--James M., of Assumtion, (sic) Ill.; William, of Clear Lake, Ind.; Mrs. M. B. Kimball, Mrs. S. Bisbee and Mrs. C. Rowley. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Mary (_____) Birce, ___ Jan 1813 - 27 May 1891, married Mitchell Birce who died in 1864 in Gilead, Michigan. Their burial place unknown. CHILDREN: James M. Birce was born about 1836 and on 02 Apr 1863 in Branch County, Michigan, married Mary W. (Little) Birce who was born about 1838. The 1880 United States Census, Assumption, Christian County, Illinois, Family History Library Film #1254180, NA Film #T9-0180, page #448B, shows Mary living with her son James and his family as well as his wife's mother, Sarah Little, living with him. William W. Birce, born about 1842, was living in Clear Lake, Indiana in 1891. In the 1880 United States Census, Orland, Steuben County, Indiana, Family History Library, #1254312, NA Film Number T9-0312, page #259B, lists William W. Birce living in a hotel managed by Morris Burnham. Dr. Thomas B. Gloss was also listed among the patrons of the hotel. Persis Elizabeth L. (Birce) Kimball, 24 Mar 1844 - 06 May 1907, on 09 Jan 1862, married Miles B. Kimball, 29 Aug 1826 - 01 Sep 1895. They are buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Steuben County, Indiana. Persis was also known as Eliza, Elizabeth, and Libbie. Alice Philena (Birce) Rowley, 1851 - 1937, married Charles Judson Rowley, 24 Aug 1848 - 30 Aug 1919. They are buried at Greenlawn Cemetery. Charles was the son of Francis Adna Rowley, Jun 1820 - 20 Aug 1896, and Almira A. (Rockwell) Rowley, 28 Sep 1828 - 05 May 1901. The parents are buried at Lake Gage Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
