STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 1901, pg 4, col 2 MARGARET (VANLUE) BOHART, 21 Jul 1821 - 16 Feb 1901 Margaret Vanlue, was born in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia, July 21, 1821, and died at Forest Home Farm, Feb. 16, 1901, aged 79 years, 7 months and 24 days. She came with her parents when very young to Fairfield county, Ohio, and from there to Hancock county, Ohio, near Vanlue, a town named after her brother. Here she was married to Samuel Bohart, and in 1843, moved to Steuben county, where she lived till her death. She raised a family of nine children of which only two are living, Cornelius W., of Hoosier, Nebraska, and Helen, of West Unity, Ohio. Besides the two children she leaves ten grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. C. A. Alspach, of Vanlue, Ohio, who is 84 years old; and a brother, James Vanlue, of Rochester, Ind., who is 76 years old. Her husband died in the army and was buried at Cleveland, Tenn. She joined the U. B. Church when 14 years old and has lived true to her God through all the trying afflictions of her life. Rev. W. S. Gandy, of Angola U. B. church, an old acquaintance, officiated at the funeral assisted by Rev. S. P. Koester, of Hamilton. The Christian church choir rendered good music.
