STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3, 1901, pg. 1, col. 8 LYDIA (EGOLF) BRESSLER, 11 Aug 1827 - 29 Mar 1901 Lydia Egolf was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, August 11, 1827. She went with her parents to Whitley county, Indiana, when the deceased was about eight years of age. May 18, 1848, she was married to Henry Bressler. In the Spring of 1887 they went to Portland, Oregon, where they lived five years. In 1892 they came to Angola and have made their home with their son Silas since that time. To this union were born eight children. Four died in infancy, and one departed this life about three years ago. Three sons and a husband survive her, Perry and John Bressler, who are in Oregon, and Silas of Angola. She was a member of the Evangelical church of Waterloo, and will always be remembered as a good wife, a loving christian mother and a good neighbor. She died March 29, 1901, at the home of her son, Silas Bressler, who has made a good home for his aged parents and been a dutiful son to them. Burial at Circle Hill. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon. Bressler, 04 May 1859 - 28 Jul 1940 who married Grace Elizabeth (Webb) Bressler, 02 Jun 1868 - 04 Aug 1945. They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.
