BROWN DIED WEDNESDAY Former Commissioner and Township Trustee Funeral Services on Friday Afternoon George M. Brown, of Otsego township, president of the Angola State Bank, former president of the First State Bank at Pleasant Lake, a former county commissioner and township trustee, died Wednesday morning at 7:00 o'clock after a year of failing health. The body was brought to the Klink Funeral Home in Angola, where the funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Both banks of the city will be closed at 2:00 o'clock in respect of his memory. Mr. Brown was born in Hinsdale, Cattaraugas county, New York, sixty-nine years ago on Nov. 24. He came with his family to Steuben county when he was a child of five, and has made this county his home nearly all the time since then. He was a very successful farmer and stock raiser. He had been honored with positions of public trust and in business affairs and was highly esteemed. Mr. Brown was married to Miss Alma Williams in March 1888, who survives with their only son, Harold. (Picture included with obituary) ADDITIONAL INNFORMATION: George M. Williams, 10 Jan 1833 - 28 Sep 1905, and his 2nd wife, Martha/Matilda (Cooper) Williams, 27 Aug 1833 - 1916. Ephriam is buried at Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. No burial place mentioned for Alma. Ephriam B. Williams 1st wife was Susan (Pearce) Williams, 10 Jul 1831 - 14 Jun 1863, buried at Otsego Center Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Son: Harold F. Brown, 1889 - 1940, married Pearl (Lautzenheiser) Brown, 02 Jul 1890 - 18 Nov 1978, daughter of Ezra E. and Elizabeth (Reichman) Lautzenheiser.
