MARY M. (RINEHART) BURCH, 11 Sep 1830 - 11 Jan 1905

                 Mary M. Burch,

   Daughter of John and Betsey Rinehart, was born in Cumberland 
county, Pennsylvania, Sept. 11, 1830, and departed this life at her 
home in Steuben county, Ind., Jan. 11, 1905, aged 74 years and 4 
months.
   She was married to Halbert C. Burch, July 22, 1860, and to them 
were born four sons, Martin M., Eugene, Lorenzo and Chester.  
Deceased and her husband united with the Church of Christ at Metz, 
Ind., in early life where they remained faithful to their Christian 
duty.  On Oct. 31, 1872, the husband and father was killed by his 
horses running away in the woods and throwing him against a tree 
inflicting injuries which proved fatal in a few hours.  The mother 
was thus left with four sons to care for.  Deceased has suffered 
much pain for several months of cancer which caused her death.  Her 
four sons, thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five 
sisters, one brother and many other relatives and friends mourn her 
departure.  She was a loving mother, a good neighbor and a kind 
friend.

   Mary M. (Rinehart) Burch, 11 Sep 1830 - 11 Jan 1905, was the 2nd 
wife of Halbert/Albert C. Burch, 1837 - 31 Oct 1872.  They are 
buried at North Otsego Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  Mary was 
the daughter of John Rinehart, 25 Mar 1797 - 27 Sep 1879, and 
Betsey (______) Rinehart, 25 Feb 1806 - 01 Sep 1874.  They are 
buried at South Scott Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  Halbert's 
parents were Chester Burch, 29 Jul 1848 - 24 May 1904, and Polly 
(Davis) Burch, 13 Apr 1812 - 12 Oct 1901.
   Halbert married his 1st wife, Catherine (Smith) Burch, on 07 Apr 
1858, no other dates or place of burial available.  They had one 
son who died in infancy, Angus R. Burch, 12 Nov 1858 - 28 Nov 1858, 
and is buried at Powers Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana, adjacent 
to Dr. Robert Smith, 25 Apr 1797 - 05 Apr 1878, and Eliza (Pomeroy) 
Smith, 10 Feb 1810 - 02 Oct 1879.

CHILDREN OF THE MARRIAGE OF MARY AND HALBERT:

   Martin M. Burch, 11 Aug 1861 - 1942, in 1879 married 
Deetle/Dettie (Woodcox) Burch, 26 Dec 1862 - 1945, daughter of 
Curtis and Mary (Morell) Woodcox).   Martin and Deetle/Dettie are 
buried at North Otsego Cemetery.
   Eugene Burch, born 1863, burial place unknown.
   Lorenzo Burch, 09 Apr 1867 - 22 Mar 1934, on 04 Jun 1887, 
married 1st wife, Mina May (Corey) Burch, 1869 - 28/30 Dec 1916.  
They are buried at North Otsego Cemetery.  She was the daughter of 
George and Elizabeth (Teegardin) Corey.  His 2nd wife, Mary A. 
(Fee) Everitt Burch, 28 Mar 1864 - 14 Dec 1923, is buried as an 
Everitt at Teegardin Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  She was 
the daughter of Calvin and Eliza (Slanders) Fee.  The SCGS 
Quarterly states that Lorenzo is survived by his widow, Clara.
   John Chester Burch, 05 Jan 1870 - 11 Dec 1925, on 06 Sep 1892, 
married Laura Bernice (Lybarger) Burch, 05 Sep 1874 - 1960.  They 
are buried at North Otsego Cemetery.  She was the daughter of 
Alonzo C. and Mary E. (Barnes) Lybarger.
