POLLY (DAVIS) BURCH, 04 Apr 1812 - 13 Oct 1901

   Polly Davis was born in Washington county, Ohio, April 4, 1812, 
and died at the home of her daughter, Cynthia Rummell, in Otsego 
township, Oct. 13, 1901, aged 89 years, 6 months and 9 days.
   The deceased was married twice, the first marriage being to 
Chester Burch, Nov. 10, 1831, in Washington county, Ohio, and the 
second marriage being to Henry Burch, of Steuben county, Indiana, in 
the fall of 1882.  Soon after her first marriage they moved to 
Marion county, Ohio, living there one year and then moved to Steuben 
county, Indiana, where they lived, with the exception of one year, 
until her death.  To the first union were born eight children, three 
of whom preceded her to the better land.  She was baptized by Elder 
John Reid, of Ohio, and lived a consistent christian life until 
death set her spirit free.  She leaves a husband, five children, 
twenty-six grand children and several great grandchildren to mourn 
her loss.  Funeral services were conducted by Elder J. W. Keefer.

   Polly (Davis) Burch, 04 Apr 1812 - 13 Oct 1901, married 1st, 
Chester Burch, 22 Mar 1810 - 26 Jan 1879, son of Oliver, 05 Feb 1786 
- 17 Dec 1852, and Anna (Hale) Burch, born about 03 Feb 1789 and 
died 19 Dec 1855, aged 66 years, 10 months and 16 days.  On 17 Oct 
1882, she became the 3rd wife of her 1st husband's brother, Henry 
Burch, 06 Jul 1822 - 18 Oct 1907.  Henry's 1st wife was Mary Ann 
(Keith) Burch.  His 2nd wife was Catherine (Williams) Teeters Burch, 
widow of John Teeters.  Polly, Chester, Henry and Catherine are all 
buried at North Otsego Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.

Children of Polly's 1st marriage:

   Nathan Burch, died at age 4 in Ohio.

   Halbert C. Burch, 1837 - 31 Nov 1872, on 07 Apr 1858, married his 
1st wife, Catherine (Smith) Burch, no other information on her.  On 
22 Jul 1860, he married his 2nd wife, Mary M. (Rinehart) Burch, 11 
Sep 1830 - 11 Jan 1905.   Halbert and Mary are buried at North 
Otsego Cemetery.

   Cynthia (Burch) Rummel, 07 Feb 1839 - 30 Nov 1930, on 14 Oct 1855 
married George Rummel, 07 Jun 1827 - 02 Aug 1916, son of Henry, 1802 
- 1892, and Elizabeth (Pirkey) Rummel.  Cynthia and George are 
buried at South Scott Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
 
   Louisa/Louise L. (Burch) Rummel, 17 Aug 1843 - 26 Apr 1874 (06 
Apr 1873 in the 1885 History), on 23 Sep 1860 became the 1st wife of 
William W. Rummel, 05 May 1836 - 15 May 1887.  They are buried at 
North Otsego Cemetery.

   Chester Burch, 1848 -24 May 1904, on 27 Jun 1869, married Jane 
(Maxton) Burch, 1847 - 1925.  They are buried at South Scott 
Cemetery.

   Asa Burch, 1852 - 1935, married Emma Lucinda (Norris) Burch, 1854 
- 1919.  They are buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Steuben County, 
Indiana.

   Florilla (Burch) Sugar/Segar on 29 Sep 1877 married Harvey 
Sugar/Segar.  No other information.
