STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 1904, page 2, columns 5, 6 LUCINDA (NORRIS) CALVIN, 14 Jun 1833 - 08 Jul 1904 Lucinda Norris was born in Carroll county, O., June 14, 1833, where about 24 years of her life was spent. She then moved to Williams county, O., where she was married to Stephen Calvin on March 23, 1858. To them were born four daughters and one son. The son, three daughters and the husband preceded the mother into the spirit land. In her early life when about fifteen years of age, deceased consecrated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ by becoming a member of His church. It is said that she faithfully followed the Lord. The deceased had lived in Steuben county for many years, and has a large circle of acquaintances who are friends, and was highly esteemed as neighbor and friend, and was greatly beloved as mother, and wife. As a sister in Christ she will be ever remembered as one who loved and trusted the Lord. Her last illness began in the latter part of the winter, and slowly failed till on July 8, 1904, when she yielded up the spirit to Him who gave it, her age being 71 years and 24 days old. Two sisters, a brother, a daughter, six grand children, other relatives, and many friends mourn her departure.
