Steuben-Republican 20 March 1918 P. 3 Denman Case, son of Furman and Permelia Case, was born in Pleasant township, Steuben county, Indiana, January 31, 1847 and departed this life February 23, 1918 at the age of 71 years and 23 days. November 28, 1869, he was united in marriage to Marietta McNett, who died July 29, 1915. To this union were born four children, two of whom have preceeded him in death. Arlie, who died some 30 years ago and Mrs. Bert Collins, who died June 21, 1904. He was of a family of eight children, all of whom have gone to the great beyond, except one sister, Mrs. Harriett Gilbert of Metz. He leaves to mourn one son, Grover, one daughter, Mrs. Golda Shank, and one sister, Mrs. Harriett Gilbert, three grandchildren, Mildred and Birdine Collins and Wilma Shank, and many other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held at the church at Lake Gage, February 26,1918, Rev. B.F. Hornaday of Hamilton officiating. Burial at the Lake Gage cemetery. Submitted by J. A. Childers
