Steuben-Republican 4 August 1915 P. 1 Marietta McNett Case, daughter of Jacob and Mary McNett, was born April 22, 1854, at Lake Gage, Steuben County, Indiana and died at their home July 29, 1915, age 61 years 2 months and 6 days. On November 28, 1869, she was united in marriage to Denman Case at Gilead, Michigan. To this union four children were born- Mrs. Bert Collins deceased; Arlie, deceased; Mrs.Clayton Shank of Kendallville and Grover, who still remains at home. Death first came in this home and took little Arlie, a beautiful child of 12 years of age, about 28 years ago; and again about 11 years ago death claimed the eldest daughter Ada, mother of Mildred and Birdena Collins. Mrs Case came from a family of seven children of whom three have preceded her to the great beyond. Those remaining of her fathers family are J. C. McNett, of Angola, John McNett and Mrs. Wheeler Purdy of Nevada Mills. She had been in poor health for several years and bore her sufferings with patience until the last and she then quietly fell asleep trusting in her heavenly Father. She leaves her husband and two children, three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services and burial were at Lake Gage, conducted by Rev. B.F. Hornaday. Submitted by J.A. Childers
