Mrs. Maria Chapin died at two o'clock Wednesday morning, at her home here, of heart trouble.  she had not felt well for several days and had been staying with her daughter, Mrs. Maddox, but was so much improved Tuesday morning that she went home.  She was seized with severe pains in
the night, and although help was quickly summoned by her grand daughters, Edith Chapin and Edna Newman, who were staying with her, she died in a short time.  Though she had not been in good health for some time, her death coming so suddenly is a  great shock to her friends and to the children, who have the sympathy of all in the loss of their mother.  The funeral will be held Friday morning at the M.E. Church.
