Mrs. Pearl Chapin, 84, died Saturday night, April 1, at the home of a daughter, Miss Jane Chapin, at Long Beach, California.
   She was the widow of Dr. C. E. Chapin, who preceded her in death on February 5, 1965.
   Surviving in addition to the daughter are two daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Griem, Angola and Mrs. Henrietta Wenger, Elkhart; two sons, Devon Chapin, Fremont, and Ward Chapin, Montgomery, Michigan;  13 grandchildren adn 19 great-grandchildren.
   Funeral Services are being comducted at 2 p.m., today in the Beams Funeral Home in Fremont with Elder C. D. Smith of the Reorganized Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.  Burial will follow in the Teeters Cemetery.
