ELOUISA (HOLLAND) CLARK, 09 Nov 1816 - 28 Feb 1904

   Elouisa, second child of Samuel and Lydia Holland, was born in 
Chesterfield, N. H., Nov. 9th, 1816, and died Feb. 28, 1904, in Mendon,  
Mich.
   She was educated at Keene, N. H.  At the age of 14 years she joined the 
M. E. church of which she was a member 73 years, and was devotedly 
attached to the church of her choice.  She was married Sept. 18, 1839, to 
Sullivan U. Clark and came directly to Orland, Steuben Co., Ind., he 
having prepared a home and then returned for her.   Her husband died Aug. 
29, 1878, and in June 1879, she went to reside with her daughter Mrs. R. 
C. Fast.  In March 1892, she met with a great affliction, the loss of her 
eyesight, caused by La-grippe.
   She leaves three children, Mrs. R. C. Fast of Mendon, Mrs. Abbie R. 
Hunsberger of Camden, N. J., and S. U. Clark of Grand Rapids, Mich.  There 
are also four grand-children and one great-grand-child.  Her children were 
all with her and tenderly ministered to her in her last illness.
   The funeral services were held at her late home in the afternoon of 
Feb. 29, Rev. J. B. Pinckard, of Kalamazoo, officiating.  March 1, the 
remains were taken to Orland, Ind., where she rests by the side of her 
husband.

Grove Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.

   Laura A. Clark, 29 Dec 1841 - 20 Aug 1842, buried at Memorial Grove 
Cemetery.  
   Georgiana Clark, 10 Apr 1844 - 10 Jun 1844, buried at Memorial Grove 
Cemetery.
   Rozellah Clark, 27 May 1845 - 24 May 1847, buried at Memorial Grove 
Cemetery.
   Abbie R. (Clark) Hunsberger, born about 1854, on 25 Dec 1875, married 
Wesley A. Hunsberger, born 20 Jun 1852.  Their date of death and place of 
burial is not known.  In the 1880 United States Census for Allegan, 
Allegan County, Michigan, Family History Library Film #1254569, NA Film 
Number T9-0569, Page Number 290A, lists Wesley and Abbie Hunsberger living 
there with 2 children and a cousin.
