ELZIE A. (MARSH) COLLINS (Mrs. Frank Collins) 09 Feb 1886 - 23 November 1947 Elzie A. Marsh, daughter of the late Chester E. and Eva Webb Marsh, was born in Steuben County Ind., Feb. 9, 1886. On June 5, 1907, she was united in marriage to Frank Collins and to this union were born four children, Mrs. Emery (Gertrude) Spade, of Orland; Merlin of Coldwater, Mich., Mrs. ______ (Florence) Wilson of Angola, and Duane, who preceded the mother in death. Besides the children she is survived by her husband, Frank Collins, of Orland; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Spangle, also of Orland; eight grandchildren and many more distant relatives and a host of neighbors, friends and acquaintances. At an early age she was converted and on July 12, 1903, united with the Orland Methodist church. Soon after her marriage she transferred her membership to the Nevada Mills Methodist church of which she remained a member till her death. She was a faithful and active member of the church and its various organizations and regular in attendance as her health permitted. She was in average health until her condition several years ago required surgery. She then improved for a while but later began to fail. She has been in poor and failing health for the past two or three years. Her condition grew steadily worse until she found relief in death Sunday evening, November 23, 1947, at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 14 days. In the passing of Mrs. Collins, the family has lost a loving wife and mother, the church, a faithful and loyal member, and the community, a kind and considerate neighbor. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at the Nevada Mills Methodist church conducted by the Rev. Edgar Johnston assisted by W. B. Fallis.
