STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3, 1901, page 1, column 8 ELIZA (MUNN) CORY, 26 Feb 1815 - 27 Mar 1901 Eliza Munn was born in St. Lawrence county, New York, Feb. 26, 1815, and died at her home in Jamestown township, Steuben county, Indiana, March 27, 1901, aged 86 years, 1 month and 1 day. She was married in 1834 to Ambrose Cory. They lived in the state of New York until 1847, when they moved to Ohio and later to Steuben county, locating on the farm which has since been her home and where her husband died in 1883. She was the mother of ten children, nine of whom, eight sons and an only daughter, are living. Besides these, she leaves ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and many friends to mourn the loss of a loving mother and friend. In early life she joined the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she was a faithful member until her death. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday, March 31. Burial in the Jamestown cemetery.
