EDYTH E. (WAITE) COURTRIGHT, 18 Jun 1910 - 17 Aug 2001

   Hudson resident Edyth E. Courtright, 91, died Friday at 
Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.
   She was born June 18, 1910, in Flint, to Perry and Edna 
Pearl (Miller) Waite.
   Mrs. Courtright was a J. C. Penney Co. sales associate who 
retired in 1973 in Angola.  She belonged to the Salem Center 
Presbyterian Church where she retired as the choir director 
after 42 years and was a member of the ladies aide.  She was 
also a member of the Salem Study Club, the Lamplighters Home 
Economics Club, the Birthday Club and the Elite Club.
   Her husband, Dick, whom she married Jan. 31, 1931, 
preceded her in death on March 7, 1984.
   She is survived by a son, Richard of Hudson; a daughter, 
Donna Lou Allen of Pleasant Lake; seven grandchildren; 20 
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a  
brother, Vernon Waite of Angola; and a stepbrother, Marcus 
Proehl of Plainfield.
   A brother, Lorin Waite, and a sister, Birdella Pearl 
Brown, also preceded her in death.
   Services were held Tuesday at the Weicht Funeral Home, 
Angola, with burial in Flint Cemetery, Steuben County. 
   Memorials are to Salem Center Presbyterian Church.

   Edythe E. (Waite) Courtright, 18 Jun 1910 - 27 Aug 2001, 
married Dick Courtright, 10 Aug 1906 - 07 Mar 1984.  They are 
buried at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
   Edythe was the daughter of Perry J. Waite, 11 May 1883 - 
16 May 1980, and his 1st wife, Edna Pearl (Miller) Waite, 03 
Nov 1886 - 09 May 1927.  Perry's 2nd wife was Myrtle 
(McKellips) Barnhouse Proehl Waite, no other information.  
Perry and his wives are buried at Flint Cemetery.
   Dick Courtright was the son of Ross Courtright, 1878 -
1961, and Blanche (Weaver) Courtright, 1881 - 1962.  They are 
buried at Hollister Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.

   Lorin H. Waite, 14 May 1906 - 12 Feb 1972, married Esther 
(Ickes) Waite, 10 Nov 1907 - Feb 1999.  They are buried at 
Flint Cemetery.
   Birdella Pearl (Waite) Brown, 1913 - 1965, married Kenneth 
L. Brown, 25 May 1913 - 12 Aug 1994.  They are buried at 
Flint Cemetery with his 2nd wife, Wreatha Cardell (Fislher) 
Brown, daughter of Ward Delson and Jennie Pearl (Kepler) 
Fisher.
