CROWL, William William Crowl was born in Stark county, Ohio, January 25, 1837; died February 9, 1907, aged 70 yrs 15 days. Mr. Crowl grew to manhood in Columbiana Co., OH, and there he and Miss Nancy Freed were united in marriage. Shortly afterward they removed to Indiana and their home was in Steuben county ever afterward. To them were born three sons and three daughters. Two sons died in infancy, and one daughter at the age of nine. The surviving three are Mrs. Adam FIFER of Angola, Mrs. Wm. Ensley, of Salem, and Peter Crowl of Steuben township. Deceased began when this region was new, and his labor and perseverance helped to develop it. He was a kind and affectionate husband and father, and a model citizen, his words always being as good as his bond. His wife died three years ago, and the children and 5 grandchildren survive him.
