Steuben-Republican 31 July 1912 Mrs. Mary Horner Dahuff who died July 20, 1912, at the home of her son Willis, near Pleasant Lake, Steuben County, Indiana was born in Hancock County, Ohio October 18, 1844. About the year 1867, she moved to DeKalb County, Indiana. On July 11, 1869, she was married to Simeon Dahuff. In 1884, she moved to Pleasant Lake where she has since resided. To this union were born three children, Willis, Mrs. Ella Pinchon and Martha Shontz, all of whom survive her. Besides these children, she leaves to mourn, four grandchildren, one sister and four brothers, Ira B. Horner, Isaac Horner, Mrs. Harriett Middleton of Ohio, John Horner of Kansas City and Edison Horner of Canada, with many other relatives and friends. She took Christ as her Savior in her girlhood united with the United Brethern Church of her home town. After coming here she united with the Baptist Church of which she has since been a faithful member. She was a kind and loving wife and faithful Mother, ever letting her example tell for her Master in her home. Submitted by J.A. Childers
