HELEN JANE (MORLEY) DALLY, 16 Jun 1829 - 05 Sep 1903

   Helen Jane Morley was born in Ontario county, N. Y., June 16, 
1829, and died Sept. 5 1903, aged 74 years, 2 months and 19 days.
   At the age of 13, she, with her parents moved to Steuben county, 
Ind., where she has since resided.  On May 4, 1848, she was united 
in marriage to R. V. Dally, and to this union were born five 
children, two sons and three daughters, all of whom survive her.  
She leaves an aged husband, five children, nineteen grandchildren, 
and two great grandchildren, besides a large number of other 
relatives and friends, to mourn their loss.  She was a member of 
the M. E. church about twenty years, but recent years she has had 
her home with the Christian church at Metz.  Although she could  
not attend church very often, she was a strong believer in Christ.  
As a wife, she has been faithful and industrious; as a mother, 
affectionate and loving.  Her afflictions were borne with patience 
and fortitude.  A husband has lost a true and priceless jewel, the 
children a true and faithful mother, and the community a 
sympathizing friend and neighbor.

   Helen Jane (Morley) Dally, 16 Jun 1829 - 05 Sep 1903, was the daughter 
of Ebenezer Morley, 26/29 Apr 1792/93 - 25/26 Aug 1868, and 
Celinda/Salinda (______) Morley, died 23 Jan 1864 (City of the Dead has 
1861), aged 65 years and 4 months.  www.familysearch.org has dates of 27 May 
1794 - 26 Jan 1861.  They also list a brother, Calvin Morley, born in New 
York on 05 May 1822 and died in Nebraska, 16 May 1896.  Other siblings 
were David Morley of Iowa; Albert Morley, 1832 - 1907, who married Ruth 
(Dally) Morley, 1833 - 1916, buried at Alvarado Cemetery; George Morley of 
Michigan; James Morley; Martin Morley, Mrs. Mary Perkins, Calvin Morley of 
Nebraska.
   Helen married Robert Vincent Dally, 24/28 Jan 1824 - 15 Oct 1905.  They 
are buried at Alvarado Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Robert was the 
son of Isaac H., born about 1801, no date of death or burial place, and 
Elenor (Wilkins) Dally, 01 Mar 1805 - 05 Feb 1867 who is buried at 
Alvarado Cemetery.

   Annetta (Dally) Barron, 1850/1851 - 1934, on 27 Oct 1872, married 
Alcinus Barron, 1852 - 1920, buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, 
Steuben County, Indiana.
   May E. Dally, born 1857, no other information.
   Jessie (Dally) Gordon, 1861 - 1930, on 27 Aug 1881, married Theron A. 
Gordon, 1860 - 1932, buried at Metz Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
   Marton (Martin?) Dally, born about 1862, no other information.
   Charles Wade Dally, 1867 - 1947, on 22 Sep 1894, married Dora B. 
(Buell) Dally, 1868 - 1942, buried at Metz Cemetery.
