BENJAMIN Q. DAVIS, 14 Mar 1826 - 16 Feb 1900

   DIED In Angola, Indiana, Feb 16, 1900, Benjamin Q. Davis, 
aged 73 years, 11 months and 2 days.

   Mr. Davis was born in Washington county, Ohio, and on April 
3, 1850, in Steuben county, was united in marriage with 
Elizabeth Merritt.  To this union were born seven children, 
three died in infancy, and four with the wife survive him.  He 
was a good husband and father, and a member of the M. E. 
church, in which faith he died.  Funeral services were held at 
the house, Sunday, Feb. 18, at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, 
Rev. F. M. Kemper.

Benjamin Q. Davis, 14 Mar 1826 -16 Feb 1900, was the son of 
Charles Davis, 31 Dec 1794 - 02 Nov 1882, who, on 17 Nov 1817, 
in Noble, Ohio, married Nancy (Hutchins) Davis, 1802 -  ?. 
Charles is buried in Noble County, Ohio, and Nancy is buried 
at Jordan Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  On 17 Apr 1851, 
Benjamin married Elizabeth (Merritt) Davis, 1824 - 19 Aug 
1904, daughter of John and May (Waller) Merritt.  Benjamin and 
Elizabeth are buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben 
County, Indiana. 

   Dgtr: Nancy Jane (Davis) Milbourne, 22 Apr 1854 - 06 Jun 
1925, on 05 Mar 1879, married Hugh Milbourne, no dates.  Her 
2nd husband was Leander B. Phillips, 17 Nov 1860 - 23 Oct 
1917.  Nancy is buried at Old Angola Cemetery; Leander is 
buried at Camden, Michigan.

   Dgtr: Polly Elizabeth (Davis) Stayner, 06 Aug 1856 - 05 Mar 
1924, on 04 Jul 1876, married William M. Stayner, 25 Nov 1854 
- 18 Mar 1927, son of Jesse Stayner, 02 Apr 1823 - 23 Oct 
1909, and Catherine (Diltz) Stayner, 11 Nov 1833 - 16 Feb 
1911.  Polly and William are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, 
Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.  Jesse and Catherine are 
buried at Jackson Prairie Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.

   Dgtr: Emma C. Davis, married 1st, on 04 Jul 1882, William 
Eugene Carrick.  They are buried at Old Angola Cemetery, 
Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.  Her 2nd husband was _______ 
Huston.

   Son:  Benjamin W. Davis, no dates, was married on 03 Dec 
1881, to Jennie Heuston.  No knowledge of burial place.
