22, 1903; met her death June 23, 1919, aged 15 years, 8 months and 3 days.  It
seams that nature was at its best when Hazel DeLong was created, beautiful in
form, bright and intelligent, congenial, happy, full of life No one ever met
her but to love her.  She graduated in the common school branches of Steuben
township and spent two years in high school at Salem Center, and was a member
of the Sophomore class looking forward to the time when she would complete the
high school course and prepare for her life work.  In a recent revival meeting she
confessed her faith in Christ and joined the United Brethren church at Mt.
Zion. She was an active member of the Christian Endeavor Worker's Sunday school
class and was regular in attendance at all the church services.
She leaves full of sorrow, her father and mother, six sisters and two
brothers, namely:  Mrs. Irene Butler, of Salem Center; Florence Powers, north
of Pleasant Lake; Clifford DeLong, who is employed at Detroit, Mich.; Aolva,

grand-father and step-grand-mother, uncles, aunts and a host of friends.
