PUBLISHED IN THE STEUBEN REPUBLICAN ON 04 JUL 1894 GEORGE DILLINGHAM, 10 May 1826 - 25 Jun 1894 DIED, at his home in Northwest township, Williams county, Ohio, Monday, June 25, 1894, George Dillingham. Deceased was born in Ontario county, New York, and came with his parents to York township in 1836. On June 6, 1847, he was joined in marriage with Hannah, daughter of Winn Powers, and soon after moved over the line into Williams county where he resided continuously until his death. To the union were born three children, two of whom with the wife survive him. Buried at Powers cemetery on Wednesday. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: George Dillingham, 10 May 1826 - 25 Jun 1894, married Hannah (Powers) Dillingham, 11 Oct 1828 - 12 Aug 1895. George was the son of Jeremiah Dillingham, 14 Sep 1786 - 09 Aug 1857, and Nancy (Thayer) Dillingham, 01 Jan 1792 - 28 Sep 1883. Hannah was the daughter of Winn Powers, 08 Dec 1801 - 24 Jun 1883, and Betsey (Reeves) Powers, 11 May 1801 - 14 Apr 1875. All are buried at Powers Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. The Powers and Dillingham families were pioneer settlers of York township, Steuben County, Indiana. CHILDREN OF THE MARRIAGE: Elisha Dillingham, 10 Apr 1848 - 07 May 1854. He is buried at Powers Cemetery. Laura Jane (Dillingham) Whaley, 17 Mar 1853 - 30 Nov 1916, died in Marion, Kansas. On 28 Feb 1869, she married Jerry F. Whaley, 07 Oct 1847 - no date of death. In Feb 1918, Jerry married his 2nd wife, Mrs. Emma Robbins. They all lived in Kansas. Lorenzo Dow Dillingham, 11 Jul 1855 - 29 Nov 1934, on 04 Sep 1882, married Clara Cedelia/Delia (Williamson) Dillingham, 16 Apr 1865 - 03 Jun 1922. She died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Otto J.
