STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 1900, pg. 5, col. 4 SUSANNAH (KIRKWOOD) DOLE, 06 May 1821 - 26 Mar 1900 DIED at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Kimsey, Salem Center, Indiana, March 26, 1900, Susanna Dole, aged 78 years, 10 months and 20 days. Susannah Kirkwood was born in Lancaster county, Penn., and when a child her parents moved to Mahoning county, Ohio, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage with John Dole, Sept. 16, 1841. Four sons and three daughters were born to them, her husband, three sons and one daughter surviving her. They came to Steuben county about 1864. During the last years of her life she was great sufferer but bore it with patience. Funeral services were conducted by elder Medbury at the home of her daughter on March 28. Dgtr: Elizabeth (Dole) Kimsey, 19 Mar 1851 - 13 Oct 1932, on 11 Apr 1872, married William E. Kimsey, 12 Oct 1851 - 13 Apr 1924. Frank T. Dole, 1858 - 1948, on 05 Nov 1878, married Nancy [Ellen] (Kimsey) Dole, 06 Nov 1857 - 30 Apr 1938. Note: William E. Kimsey and Nancy Ellen (Kimsey) Dole are siblings. All the children and spouses are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana, Sec. 25, Lot 1.
