DEAN D. DYGERT DEAN D. DYGERT, 82, of Battle Creek, died Monday Sept. 24, 1990, at Battle Creek Health System/Leila Site. He had been in failing health several years and seriously ill for a few months. He was born in Steuben County, Ind., and came to Battle Creek in 1945 from Ann Arbor. He worked at the former Allman's Bakery for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He continued to work there part-time until 1981. Before that, he worked for H.B. Sherman Co.. He was a member of the Binder Park Zoo Society and Battle Creek Morning Musical Club and a former member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Fremont, Ind.. He was an avid Fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Genevieve R. Neutz; daughters, Beverly Curott of Boca Raton, Fla., Rose Dunsmore Maleport of Grand Rapids and Jo A. Dygert of Battle Creek; a son, Donald D. Dygert of Belding; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Farley-Estes Funeral Home. Memorial donations may go to Salvation Army or American Cancer Society.
