WILFORD FAIR, 04 Jul 1916 - 14 Feb 1982 Former LaGrange resident, Wilford "Willie" Fair, 65, of Route 2, Howe, died Sunday in Chokaloskee, Fla., while vacationing there. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Fair on July 4, 1916 in Orland. On Dec. 30, 1979, he married Ruth Homsher who survives. Mr. Fair, a veteran of World War II, had moved from LaGrange to Howe, two years ago. He had been a LaGrange Volunteer Fireman for many years and was a member of the American Legion Post 215 in LaGrange. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Vicki) Myers of Syracuse and Mrs. Butch (Peggy) Lounsury of LaGrange; two sons, Bob Fair of Bristol and Jerry Fair of La Grange; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, with the Rev. Ronald Drake of the LaGrange Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Flint Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday. She married 2nd Ellis Fair, no other information. Wilford is buried at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Ruth and Ned are buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Steuben County, Indiana.
