AMASA S. FOSTER, 1815 - 25 Nov 1901

   Amasa S. Foster was born in Seneca county, New York, in 
1815, and died in Scott township, Nov. 25, 1901, aged 85 
years. He enlisted in April, 1861, in Co. C., 14th Ohio, and 
was transferred as sergeant to the 100th Ohio, and honorably 
discharged in October, 1864.  He was mustered into the G. A. 
R. post on Jan. 28, 1899, under whose auspices the funeral 
services will be held today, the sermon being preached by 
Elder Medbury.
