STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1902, page 4, column 5 GEORGE FOX, 06 Jun 1818 - 15 Nov 1902 George Fox was born in Hunterdon county, N. J., June 6, 1816, and died in Steuben county, Ind., Nov. 15, 1902, aged 86 years, 5 months and 8 days. When a boy he moved with his parents to Morrow county, Ohio, where he was united in marriage with Emeline Gordon, who died Nov. 30, 1886. Two years later he was again united in marriage with Mrs. Beth Adams. He leaves four sisters, one brother, three children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church, at Richland Center, conducted by Rev. Walters of York. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: George Fox. 06 Jun 1816 - 14/15 Nov 1902, married first Emeline A. Gordon, 22 Apr 1815 - 30 Nov 1886. They are buried at Alvarado Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. On 21 Apr 1889, George married Beth Adams, no other information. CHILDREN: Amy Jane (Fox) Baker, 05 Apr 1849 - ____, on 24 May 1877 became the 2nd wife of Christopher Baker, 18 Apr 1836 - 23 Jan 1893, son of Samuel and Sarah (Shriver) Baker. Amy's burial place is unknown. Christopher is buried at Alvarado Cemetery. Caroline Fox, died 27 Aug 1851, aged 1 year, 2 months and 11 days, buried at Alvarado Cemetery.
