STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 1901, page 8 column 4 RUTH E. (PIPER) ADAMS FOX, 20 Nov 1830 - 09 Sep 1901 Ruth E. Piper was born near Johnstown, Knox county, Ohio, Nov. 20, 1830, and died Sept. 9, 1901, aged 70 years, 9 months and 19 days. She was united in marriage to Rulif F. Adams. To this union were born three children, Amos Adams, living, Sarah E. Musser and Wm. H. Adams being dead. After a wedded life of about twenty-eight years, Mr. Adams, died. In 1889 she was married to Geo. Fox. She united with the Christian church in the seventies and as long as she was able was a faithful attendant upon its services. Sister Fox was a faithful Christian woman and in her severest suffering her faith wavered not. She leaves a son, three sisters and three grandchildren with a host of friends to mourn the loss of a good mother, an affectionate sister and an excellent neighbor. They are buried at Powers Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. CHILDREN: Amos Adams, 1853 - 30 Jan 1911, married Amanda E. (Van Scoit) Adams, 13 Feb 1835 - 1936. They are buried at Powers Cemetery. Sarah Ella (Adams) Musser, died 25 May 1883 a the age of 25 years, on 05 Dec 1877, married David Musser, 1852 - 1933, son of Henry and Mary Lippard (Stine) Musser. Sarah and David are buried at Powers Cemetery. Sarah was married as Ella Adams. William Henry Adams, 08 Nov 1864 - 05 Jun 1882, aged 17 years, 6 months and 27 days. He is buried at Powers Cemetery.
