SUSANNA (LYTLE) GEEDY, 19 Oct 1822 - 10 Jan 1902

   Mrs. Susanna Geedy was born in the county of Mifflin, state of 
Pennsylvania, October 19, 1822, and died at the home of her son-in-law, 
William Curwin, in Fremont, Indiana, January 10, 1902, aged 79 years, 2 
months and 21 days.
   She came to Indiana in the spring of 1864 with her husband, John Geedy, 
who departed this life over 23 years ago.  She was the loving mother of 
eleven children, two of them having preceded her to the spirit world.  
Mrs. Geedy was converted in her youth and united with the Reformed 
Lutheran church in Pennsylvania, but after coming to Indiana she joined 
the Evangelical church in Fremont and remained a consistent member until 
called to her reward.  For the past four years she has not been able to 
attend services, but enjoyed the songs and prayers of christian people, 
and died at a ripe old age in the triumphs of christian faith.  She left 
to mourn their loss six sons and three daughters, as follows:  John, 
Sanuel and Cyrus Geedy, of Fremont; Geo. Geedy, Huntington, Ind.; Chas. 
Geedy, Logro, Ind.; Frank Geedy, Reading, Michigan; Mrs. Adam Failing, 
Mrs. William Curwin and Miss Vina Geedy, of Fremont, Indiana.

03 Oct 1824 - 09 May 1878.  They are buried at Fremont Cemetery, Steuben 
County, Indiana.

   John J. Geedy, 1850 - 1919, married Maria J. (Clark) Geedy, 23 Jul 1850 
- 26 Nov 1919, daughter of Daniel and Ruth Clark.  John and Maria are 
buried at Fremont Cemetery.
   Cyrus Geedy, 1853 - 1937, bachelor, buried at Fremont Cemetery. 
   Jeremiah Charles Geedy, 16 Jun 1854 - 12 Oct 1918, on 05 Aug 1881, in 
Greensprings, Ohio, married Hetty A. (Leichty) Geedy, 1852 - 1941.  They 
are buried at Fremont Cemetery. He was better known by his middle name, 
Charles.
   Frank Geedy, 07 Sep 18455 - (alive in 1902), married 1st Minttie 
(Ramsey) Geedy, 22 Sep 1858 - 12 Jul 1913, daughter of John and Susan 
Ramsey. Frank married 2nd, Adella (______) Geedy, 28 Apr 1856 - 29 Feb 
1928.  Frank, Minttie and Adella are buried at Fremont Cemetery.
   Susanna (Geedy) Failing Harbaugh, 25 Dec 1856 - 02 Apr 1939, on 28 Nov 
1876, married Adam Failing, 1836 - 1902, son of Thomas and Catherine Klock 
Failing. Susanna and Adam are buried at Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben 
County, Indiana.  She married 2nd, Jerry Harbaugh, burial place no known.
   Elizabeth (Geedy) Curwin, 06 Aug 1859 - 08 Oct 1929, married William G. 
Curwin, 04 Oct 1863 - 09 Sep 1923.  They are buried at Fremont Cemetery.
   Lovina Geedy, 1861 - 1932, buried at Fremont Cemetery.
   Samuel Geedy, 1863 - 1923, married Sarah Amanda (Isenhower) Geedy, 1865 
- 1930, daughter of Jacob P. and 1st wife Elizabeth (Straw) Isenhower.  
Samuel and Sarah are buried at Fremont Cemetery.
