STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10, 1901, page 4, column 2 MARGARET/MAGGIE J. (TWIFORD) GOODRICH In Jackson township, Steuben county, Indiana, April 7, 1901, Maggie J., wife of George B. Goodrich, aged 47 years, 2 months and 26 days. Maggie J. Twiford was born in Steuben county, and at the age of twelve became a member of the Christian church and later united with the Pleasant View U. B. church. March 6, 1873, she was joined in marriage with Geo. B. Goodrich, and to the union were born six children, five of whom with the husband survive her. She was also a faithful member of the Grange lodge and Ancient Order of Gleaners at Flint. She was a loving mother, kind and affection(ate) wife, and died in the faith and triumphs of the Gospel. Funeral services were held at the Pleasant View church, conducted by Rev. W. S. Gandy, in the presence of a large congregation of neighbors and friends. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Margaret/Maggie J. (Brownell) Goodrich, born about 26 Aug 1819 - 19 Oct 1861, aged 42 years, 1 month and 24 days. John's 2nd wife was Hester Ann (Priest) Powers Goodrich, widow of Andrew J. Powers, born about 21 Sep 1827 - 14 Jun 1863, killed in the Civil War. Margaret and George are buried at Jackson Prairie Cemetery, Steuben Co., Indiana. Son: Roy Goodrich, born about 13 Jul 1874 - 11 Jul 1890, aged 15 years, 11 months and 29 days. Buried at Jackson Prairie Cemetery. Dgtr: Anna L. (Goodrich) Hanson, 01 Dec 1884 - Nov 1973, married Morris Hanson, 1878 - 1943. Buried at Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben Co., Indiana. Son: Arthur B.
